Yvonne's 25th Birthday

So soon after lunch with the work colleagues, a birthday lunch with the family at a vegetarian restaurant on Kitchener Road where you can see us eating our desert of almond, lotus and lilies! Thankyou everyone so much and thankyou for the hong pao!

Very soon I will have the sad duty of saying bye-bye to Singapore. Here are Mr and Mrs Tan, Rachel, Rebecca and Tata from work at a farewell lunch at a famous dumping restaurant in Tampines Mall. Love Yvonne

Last Night at Taipei

We spent our last Taiwan dollars at the Formosa Regent Hotel (not where we stayed) - apart from our transport fare to the airport the next day.

Stewed American beef and rice for me.

Taipei Soaks !

Four out of the five full days we had at Taipei were soakingly wet.

Taipei 101 - sounds like an entry university course - the tallest building in the world. Miserable weather.

Outside the Palace Museum - this large building has space to display only a fraction of the historic treasures. The rest buried are in storage within the mountain behind.
