Mothers' Day Chrysanthemums

Last Mothers' Day we gave Kay a Chrysanthemum pot plant. After the Day, we placed it in the garden. It did not receive much care, apart from an occasional watering.

But it grew and grew. And buds, and then flowers appeared.

Just in time for this year's Mothers' Day !

Beo Lan at SGH

Beo Lan had to have an operation at the Singapore General Hospital. An occasion to enjoy one of the benefits of government service.

She was impressed with the room . . . .

And then it's time to say thank you!

It's been a long, long wait but the new Epping-Chatswood rail link is finally up and running. It's the first day and I was very impressed. New trains similar in style to the millennium trains. And no noise! Currently a quarterly hour shuttle service is is scheduled to be intergrated with the existing city-rail system by the end of the year. Cheers!

Whisker's Illness

Whisker had to spend a few nights at the Vet after an infected sore made him quite sick. On his return from the clinic, he was given special care including infusion to overcome dehydration.

A daily infusion of saline solution.

Whisker came back from the Vet with new tricks !

Year of the Ox 2009

Changi Beach - An unusual encounter

On my walk along Changi Beach, I had an unusual encounter - with a monkey.

It wandered along the beach and scavenged for food among the litter.

I wanted to move closer for a better look but its fangs deterred me !

Kay's SCC

Kay had her SCC taken out in a simple operation that lasted only a few minutes. Here are the before and after photos !
