Year of the Pig Celebrations in Cabramatta

Last photos of the New Year (perhaps) - this time from vibrant Cabramatta. There was entertainment in the middle of the mall (Feedom Square) appropriately compered in Vietnamese, Cantonese and English, and of course lots of lion dancers, firecrackers and people !

The Queens in Sydney

A rare conjuction of events, two the world's most luxurious ships Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Mary 2 were in Sydney at the same time yesterday. We joined the thousands in the crush to take a few glimpses of the ships.

Kay and Yvonne after a long wait for a table for dinner near the Opera House.

The food arrived.
Then surprise, surprise, the QE2 arrived while we still had the table and top viewing position. Our timing was exquisite!

The view from the footsteps of the Opera House, the QE2 dominating the Circular Quay.
The Queen Mary 2, in nearby Woolloomooloo.

Hong Kong

Better late than never, some photos from HK stay back in December 2006! - Obligatory views from the Peak, a strangely empty MTR carriage, a traffic sign with hidden political agenda (?) and Kay's favourite (chow hor fun) finally found at Stanley Market.
